Dancehall veteran Captain Barkey was shot dead in Bronx New York , when he and a female companion was leaving the Holiday Motel . Reports from the Daily News said that Barkey's killer emerged from the dark outside the Motel at about 3.30 am and started firing a hale of bullets at the singer.
Captain Barkey tried to escape the barrage of shots as he hopped from the passenger side of the car , but he was cut down outside the Motel.
The killer then tuned his gun on the female companion who was standing outside her car and crying , it is alleged that she was begging for life , as he shot her twice killing her.
Witnesses nearby said the killer was a tall guy wearing a brown shirt , and he sped off in a car with New York plates.
The female victim ex lover is so far the main suspect according to investigations , as he was given a restraining order recently towards the her.
Captain Barkey whose real name is Wayne Hamilton performed a number of hit songs as a duo with Wickerman , songs like "Go Go Wine" and "Bun Fi Bun" .
Captain Barkey will always be remembered as a Jovial person and comedic performances he is always giving his audience a belly full of laughter and getting huge forwards at the same time.
Captain Barkey has surely contributed to Dancehall music and its development as Genre as he ws one of the main act in the 90's touring the world and carrying the Dancehall flag.

The song titled "Goat Head" was recently released on the UIM records label .Tommy Lee makes it clear that he never wanted to diss Bounty Killer because he is an elder in the business , but he Bounty Killer started it and went too far by labeling him as a homosexual .Tommy Lee aim jabs at Bounty Killer with lyrics calling him "Bowaaz" Jamaican term of performing oral sex and calling Bounty Killer gay for having a naked man in his video couple years ago. Tommy Lee says that the war is definitely on watch out for the "spartan demon" them.
But one his most creative lyrics is when he says that him happy "Bounty Killer his not his father as he would beat his mother every day with a Hammer".

When Christopher Martin entered the Reggae Sumfest stage in the morning , it was quite clear that he is one of the biggest artiste in Reggae music at this present time . The venues atmosphere was transformed into a high energy choir, as the ladies screamed and men put up lighters and whistled .Dressed in a dapper looking red and grey suit the singer had the ladies eating out of his palms as he belted out songs such as Take My Wings', ‘Paper Loving’, and ‘Cheater’s Prayer’The men whistled and lit lighters especially for "Real Friends" and "Chill Spot "The international Reggae singer , in Jamaican terms" mash up the show" as each of his songs were well received by the audience . The singer had the venue temperature increased with renditions of John Holt's ‘If I Were a Carpenter’ and Marvin Gaye's ‘Sexual Healing’." Ladies were seeing crying in the front row as they sang along to Chris songs word for word.
The Singer shifted gear a bit when he touch on the issue of child molestation as he said, "Recently I read the most disturbing news where children and babies as young as 18 months were raped in Jamaica and I cried." He then sang won of his new song " Killer Inside" with lyrics saying " I am a father and if a man ever touch mi daughter..." The song had the place in a frenzy , he then left shortly ,but the crowd demanded his return.
