CatEyes Releases New Song

The Reggae Singer CatEyes who recently got her first Top Ten charted song " Help Us " has released a new song titled "Feel So Right " produced by Saunjay on J'Island Records .The song is a very soulful love song that puts you in the mood for love once hearing it.CatEyes great vocal and pitch variation ,  was well orchestrated on this track . She has grown a lot in music and her cross over appeal is quite distinct on this record as the song has R&B flavor to it . Christopher Martin Shines at Sumfest 2012

When Christopher Martin entered the Reggae Sumfest stage in the morning , it was quite clear that he is one of the biggest artiste in Reggae music at this present time . The venues atmosphere was transformed into a high energy choir, as the ladies screamed and men put up lighters and whistled .Dressed in a dapper looking red and grey suit the singer had the ladies eating out of his palms as he belted out songs such as Take My Wings', ‘Paper Loving’, and ‘Cheater’s Prayer’The men whistled and lit lighters especially for "Real Friends" and "Chill Spot "The international Reggae singer , in Jamaican terms" mash up the show" as each of his songs were well received by the audience . The singer had the venue  temperature increased with renditions of John Holt's ‘If I Were a Carpenter’ and Marvin Gaye's ‘Sexual Healing’." Ladies were seeing crying in the front row as they sang along to Chris songs word for word. 
The Singer shifted gear a bit when he touch on the issue of child molestation as he said, "Recently I read the most disturbing news where children and babies as young as 18 months were raped in Jamaica and I cried." He then sang won of his new song " Killer Inside"  with lyrics saying " I am a father and if a man ever touch mi daughter..."  The song had the place in a frenzy , he then left shortly ,but the crowd demanded his return.  
Dancehallwave can confidently say that Christopher Martin is one of the top performers over the three day event.

R Kelly Kept His Promise - Performs at Reggae Sumfest

R& B King R Kelly after failing to show up for Reggae Sumfest last year , kept his promise after apologizing  and promising his fans that he will be their this year in a Promotional video. The R& B Singer arrived 12 hours before his schedule showtime. Patrons had to wait over a hour and half for the singer to hit the stage as he left his hotel room late.When the singer hit the stage he was wearing the same clothes he arrived 12 hours before the show , he told the fans that he had been drinking from he arrived so he apologize if he is a bit tipsy.
During his set he sang hits such as‘Wine for Me’, ‘Down Low’, ‘Bump and Grind’, ‘Seems Like You’re Ready’ and ‘Sex in the Kitchen’. One high point during his set is when he asked "Ladies, can I strip for you?" , and as expected, the females instantly gave their approval.Ladies in the front row took his shoes and his glasses , but later had to return them as the security went in the crowd to reclaim them.His performance was a bit hasty and at some what  unorganized but he manage to kept the ladies screaming and singing along as he sang hit after hit.

Shabba Ranks Hot at Sumfest 2012

 Veteran Dancehall Star Shabba Ranks showed the Jamaican crowd that he may be getting into age , but he sure still can rock a stage show , as he gave a stunning high energy performance on international night one at Reggae Sumfest.
Shabba was his usual  hardcore self as he delivered to those who have never seen him perform and refreshed other who have grown on his music,with his sexually explicit lyrics and grooves. Shabba wowed the audience with hits like Wicked Inna Bed, Peeny Peeny, Love Punany Bad, Trailer Load A Girls, Ting A Ling and so much more.
Shabba was also honored on stage by the Sumfest and The Jamaica 50 committee for his contribution to Jamaican music over the years. He was presnted with an  award by Culture Minister Lisa Hanna former Miss World.
Shabba Ranks after accepting the award said that "It’s not only gunshot can come from the ghetto, I am a natural proof of ghetto progress."

Tommy Lee Big Performance at Sumfest

Tommy Lee live up to the high expectation on Dancehall night at Reggae Sumfest ,performing for the first time as a booked Artiste ,  as last year he was called on stage by Vbyz Kartel.He entered the stage dressed in full black, wearing  his psycho mask, singing  “Gaza man crazy, no wi insane,” that got the crowd in a frenzy .Tommy Lee got the Biggest forwards for the night as he delivered his hits and new songs.Songs like Some Bwoy , Warn Dem, Psycho and Tom and Jerry are just a few of his many songs that got huge forwards .Tommy Lee showed repect to his mentor Vybz Kartel when he displayed his just released book "Voice of the Jamaican Ghetto"on stage. Tommy Lee really pleased the Gaza fans and give them hope that the crew is still very much alive and hot as Vybz Kartel is still locked up behind bars. Dancehallwave is prepared to say that Tommy Lee took Reggae Sumfest Dancehall night 2012.

Mighty Mike Dead

Popular Radio Disc Jockey Mighty Mike whose real name is Micheal Jones was found dead at his home in Ocho Rios , St. Ann yesterday , after he failed to turn up for work at Irie Fm.
The Police have not suspected any foul play as he was sick for some time.
